Mt Ashwabay features cross country and downhill skiing as well as snowboarding. Maybe a dogsled ride is more your speed? In March take a real Polar Plunge through the ice of Lake Superior. Ever wanted to drive to Madeline Island? For a few weeks in the deep of winter we have the Ice Road. When the lake freezes thick enough to plow a road from mainland Bayfield to Madeline Island. There is something unique about driving across Lake Superior.
